Chained Wings

Archangel Lucien and Draven, Lord of the Fallen Angels, have always been sworn enemies. On the Battlefield of Fallen Stars, Lucien cannot bring himself to strike the killing blow. Draven seizes the opportunity to trap him and drag him down into the Dark Realm. There, Draven breaks Lucien's white wings, imprisons him in a cage of meteoric iron, and subjects him to relentless confinement and humiliation. He forcibly claims Lucien's body and leaves upon him a mark of ownership. When Rowan, Lucien's loyal subordinate, bursts into the bedchamber and witnesses the degrading scene, Lucien is plunged into unbearable shame. Unable to endure the torment any longer, Lucien feigns unconsciousness and escapes toward the border of the Dark Realm—unaware that every move he makes remains firmly within Draven's control. After Lucien is captured and brought back, Draven presses a red-hot branding iron against the inside of his thigh, searing his own name into Lucien's flesh and leaving an indelible mark of humiliation. Draven then uses abyssal wine to heighten Lucien's desires, forcing him to confront his true self before an enchanted mirror. As Lucien loses control and cries out Draven's name, the last remnants of his pride and resistance are utterly shattered. The ultimate struggle between light and darkness—and the violent clash between captivity and defiance—continues to unfold within the bedchamber of the Dark Realm. Lucien's dignity is crushed, while both his body and soul remain bound within the abyss.
