Lorde, daughter of the Sea God, is betrayed by her husband, Demos, and her maid, Chloris, and thrown from a cliff on Mount Olympus. With death closing in, she learns that Helios, the fallen Sun God, has always loved her—and sacrificed his divine status to give her a second chance at life. Reborn at eighteen, Lorde breaks off her old engagement and sets out to find Helios, only to be forced into another marriage by Zeus.
