My Mafia Family Chose Her Over Me - Episodio 26

Introducción: "New York’s wealthy Ford family controls construction, freight, and warehousing businesses while secretly operating as a crime family. When adopted daughter Evelyn and newly reunited biological daughter Cecilia are kidnapped by a rival family, Evelyn’s younger brother Liam and childhood sweetheart and fiancé Sebastian both prioritize rescuing Cecilia. Shot in the right thigh, Evelyn misses timely treatment and risks permanent disability. She then overhears them dismissing her as an outsider and discussing ending her engagement, and faints from the pain. Their cold treatment in the hospital finally convinces her to leave. Back home, Evelyn quietly prepares her departure, remaining detached despite her adoptive mother’s favoritism, Cecilia’s hostility, Sebastian’s indecision, and Liam’s belated guilt. To appease Cecilia, her adoptive mother even tries to pair Evelyn with a notorious family playboy and publicly slaps her over a misunderstanding. On the sisters’ shared birthday, Evelyn reclaims her surname, Bennett, leaves alone for Miami, and cuts all ties. Five years later, Evelyn has built a successful career under her maternal aunt’s guidance. Returning to New York for her aunt’s medical care, she encounters Margaret and Liam. The Fords’ mistreatment of Evelyn has cost them loyalty: longtime followers have left, and alliances are faltering. Despite their belated remorse, Evelyn has already moved on and built a full, authentic life."
