Tang Yin, a reclusive master, lived quietly in the marketplace running a butcher shop. His only daughter, Tang Xiaolei, was humiliated by her fiancé and driven to fall from a building. Casting aside his low‑key life, he pursued the wrongdoers through legal channels, cooperated with the police to expose his former sworn brother Lin Long—who was involved in cross‑border smuggling—and worked with an undercover agent to gather solid evidence, bringing all the underworld forces to justice. In protecting his family, he also restored peace to the city, found warmth and love, and with justice and responsibility, safeguarded the safety of thousands of homes.

Ophelia gave up her studies to marry the wealthy Clyde and raise their five-year-old son, Felix. Behind their seemingly perfect marriage, Clyde had secretly married Ophelia’s best friend, Eleanor. He even staged a car accident and pretended to be critically ill so he could take Eleanor to see the Northern Lights. When Felix was bitten by a venomous snake and urgently needed Rh-negative blood, Eleanor refused to help. Ophelia soon discovered that Clyde had arranged the attack to conceal his betrayal. After saving Felix at great cost, she filed for divorce, gave up all marital assets, and sought only sole custody of her son. Clyde tried to stop her while continuing to favor Eleanor. When he endangered Felix again by handing him over to human traffickers on a psychic’s advice, Ophelia finally left the country with her son and completed the divorce. Only after losing them did Clyde regret his actions. Eleanor, rejected by Clyde and his family, miscarried and became vengeful. Clyde later tracked Ophelia down abroad, but his jealous attempt to force a reconciliation ended with his arrest. After his release, Eleanor burned down Clyde’s family home, killing his parents. His company collapsed, leaving him bankrupt and alone. Meanwhile, Ophelia returned to scientific research and built a happy new life with Felix and archaeologist Darian.
