Alex was the son of Poseidon, the God of the Sea, and the recognized King of the entire coastal continent. To protect the woman he loved, he deliberately concealed his royal identity and disguised himself as an ordinary farmer, quietly spending five years of resources helping the down-and-out Amy family rise into the nobility. Amy, however, only had eyes for power and status. She despised the farmer-like Alex from the bottom of her heart. At a noble banquet, together with her mother Monica and her admirer Blake, she publicly humiliated and expelled Alex, tearing up their engagement with her own hands and trampling on the castle deed and the treasured Heart of the Ocean he had given her. On the way, Queen Helena of the Odin Empire was besieged by werewolves. Alex stepped in to save her and gifted her the Sea Hunter's Blade, a weapon capable of suppressing werewolves. Helena fell for him at first sight and offered to marry him with her entire empire as dowry, but Alex politely declined, still devoted to Amy. When a large pack of werewolves attacked the Odin castle, the Sea Blade unleashed its divine power and drove back the wolves. Upon learning that Alex had gone to Amy's banquet, Helena immediately set off for Moore Castle. At the banquet, Amy and her companions continued to belittle and expel Alex, even ordering silver-armored knights to strip him of his royal cloak and the Trident of Poseidon. The instant the knights moved to act, Alex stopped hiding, revealing his kingly regalia, his identity on the verge of being exposed. Helena arrived just in time and publicly declared Alex to be the future sovereign of the Odin Empire. All the nobles present—Amy, Monica, Blake—were plunged into extreme shock and utter collapse.

The moment we witness the last surviving child in the safehouse getting pinned to the wall by a zombie before having his guts torn out, all the men in the team break down mentally. "Captain, didn't you claim that Selene kept rambling nonsense because she had gone crazy out of fright toward the zombies? Isn't that why you reassured us to keep watch while you and Madeline watched the sunrise on the summit? "Why is it that my newborn has already gotten devoured by a zombie as soon as I return to the safehouse?" Quinton Morwood goes deathly pale at the accusation. My heart feels as though it's gotten torn into pieces as I stare at the tragedy. In my previous life, when the zombies attacked the safehouse, Quinton, who was the captain of the defence team, had taken the entire team with him just so he could watch the sunrise with Madeline Moore at the mountain summit. I did everything I could to summon everyone back to the base. That was how everyone's lives were spared from the zombie attack. But Madeline was pissed that she did't get to watch the sunrise, so she left the safezone angrily on her own. That was how she got grabbed by a zombie and eaten by a horde. By the time Quinton and his squad killed the entire horde, he just hugged Madeline's femur to his chest without saying a single word. On the day I gave birth to my baby, Quinton hacked my limbs off before throwing me into the roaming hordes of zombies. I could only watch as the zombies tore my flesh off my bones before Quinton saved me again by healing me. The cycle kept going on and on until I witnessed the last piece of flesh being torn off my body. "You're the one who killed Madeline, you wretched woman! Since you like competing with her that much, I'll make sure you'll die a worse death than hers!" When I open my eyes again, I've returned to the day the zombies are attacking the safezone.

I plan a family trip at my mother Lucia Sweeney's request. While avoiding the danger zones, my sister Linda Harper and I are ambushed by rogues. To protect her, I throw myself in the path of their claws and get driven into a silver mine. As I fall, my back is slashed open to the bone, and shards of silver embed deep into my right leg. The searing silver poison spreads quickly, burning through me and my wolf. My wolf is whimpering—she's close to death. However, as the pack's chief healer, Mom gathers all the healers around Linda to give her a full check-up over a few minor scrapes. I sob and beg her to save me first. "Mom, the poison has almost reached my heart. I can't hold on anymore." She turns around impatiently and yells, "Are you seriously still fighting with Linda now? Do you have any idea how close she came to getting clawed in the face by a silver claw? Our pack doesn't have a wolf as heartless as you!" And in that moment, I hear my wolf's final whimper, saying goodbye. I finally fall asleep in the cold wind, never waking up again.
