All Mortals, All Heroes

Ciels Gner, a renowned general of the Eurasian Empire, defeats the orc forces and slays the Blood Lord. In recognition of his achievements, Empress Selina appoints him Grand Marshal of the Empire, commanding an army of one million soldiers. After ten years away from home, Ciels sets aside his glory and returns to his family, only to be publicly humiliated at the Gner family's birthday banquet by his fiancée, Lina Monroe, who has been granted the title of Duchess. Along with her family elders, she breaks off their engagement. Refusing to accept the humiliation, Ciels formally severs their engagement with a written declaration.
