I Bore His Heirs, Then I Vanished - Episode 28

Introduction: The Luna still wants another child. You carried the first one well enough. You can give her another.” That was all it took for me to spend ten months carrying a second child for my fated mate. The moment my daughter was born, the healer cut the cord and carried her away before I was even allowed to hold her. My second child. Gone before I could see her face. Everyone in the pack knew why. Years ago, Luna Seraphina had fought beside Alpha Lucian in the war against the rogues. A silver blade had left her unable to carry children of her own. If not for that injury, there would never have been another woman in the Alpha’s bed. There certainly would never have been me. I might have been Lucian’s fated mate—the woman his wolf recognized the moment we met—but that had never made me his Luna. To the pack, I was a strong bloodline and a fertile body. Nothing more. I was the easiest way to give Seraphina the heirs she could never bear herself. Three years ago, I gave birth to Lucian’s first son. I never got to hold him either. Lucian took the baby from the healer himself and gave me only one warning. “From this moment on, Seraphina is his mother. Don’t make this harder than it has to be.” Back then, I still had enough hope left to beg. I tried to climb out of bed and follow him, but the pack healers held me down while I screamed for Lucian to let me see my own child. After that, I learned. I stopped begging. Every morning, I went to the Luna’s residence and stood outside the gates, hoping to hear my son laughing somewhere inside. At first, Lucian allowed it. Then Seraphina said the future Alpha needed stability. Hearing another woman outside his home would only confuse him about who his mother was. After that, I was forbidden from going near him. And now, three years later, they had taken my daughter too. Before I had even held her once.
