My Husband Chose His Stepmother Over Me - Episode 5

Introduction: Iris marries Carter Coleman, the man she fell for in her youth, and appears to be the CEO's cherished wife. In truth, she is merely a substitute for his first love— his stepmother, Eileen Murray. When Eileen stages a kidnapping, Carter pays $10 million to rescue her alone, leaving Iris to die. After narrowly surviving, Iris uncovers wedding-dress sketches meant for Eileen. She also discovers that Carter spared Eileen the pain of donating bone marrow by making the pregnant Iris donate to his sick father instead, causing her miscarriage. Eileen herself hired the kidnappers. Four years of love collapse. Iris joins forces with Aaron Kent, her childhood savior and the leader of North America's largest underworld organization. She leaves Carter and systematically dismantles the Coleman family's power, exposing the incest scandal, shorting the company's stock, and reclaiming business control, leaving Eileen disgraced. Only after losing everything does Carter recognize his love for Iris. His desperate attempts to win her back lead to self-destruction. With her revenge complete, Iris leaves the past behind and builds a peaceful life with Aaron, cutting ties with her former life forever.
