Buddies Across Time

Four modern-day buddies accidentally travel back in time through an ancestral jade pendant. Sean Blake, the male lead, becomes the Parker family's despised live-in son-in-law, facing contempt from his wife's family and bullying from the powerful. After a chance encounter with the Empress, Sean discovers that she is actually his good buddy Gavin Reed, who also traveled back in time. Together, they foil Prince Adam's deadly banquet plot. With his extraordinary talents, Sean rises to become the Grand Tutor, outsmarting the top scholar and taking on powerful court officials. He later reunites with another buddy who has become the Greatest Bladesman. Together, they help the original owner's family overcome their crisis and ultimately bring down Prince Adam.
